Hello there! :)
So far, with all the chinese restaurants (or all the restaurants that serves this dish) that i've tried, Mr. Choi Kitchen delivers the best tasting HAKAO/HAKAW/HAR GOW (steamed shrimp dumpling) -- or atleast their branch in Waltermart Makati [2008].
Har gow is a traditional Chinese dumpling served in dim sum. It is listed at number 34 on World's 50 most delicious foods readers' poll complied by CNN Go in 2011. Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Har_gow
*Mr. Choi Kitchen Menu (Front Page)*
*Steaming Hot Hakao*
And of course, this wouldn't be complete if not with my "toyo-mansi-chili" mixture... :D
We also ordered other dishes... :) Please see images below with my critique (general; detailed critique next time)... :D [Yes?? Ako na!] #me.already
*Dim Sum Platter*
*Steamed Wonton - juicy... :)*
*Fried Wonton - having it fried added good flavour*
*Fried Gyoza - another way of eating gyoza*
*Japanese Style Siomai - second best tasting (1st would be the hakao :D)*
--For some reason, the nori wrapper really compliments the siomai--
#iloveit
*Steamed Siomai - uniquely good*
*Steamed Hakao - Do you even have to ask?? :D*
*Fried Spring Roll - The vegetables are really crunchy so it's-all-good... :D*
*Rice Topping of Soy Chicken and Pork Asado*
--The soy chicken is as usual, but it really tastes like it doesn't have MSG in it #aREALLYgoodTHING--
*Rice Topping of Soy Chicken and Pork Asado*
--Pork Asado, I like it... :) Tastes like chinese asado; plus points on it being not that sweet.. :D--
*My Favorite Condiment - Ginger Sauce [in equivalence to toyo-mansi-chili]*
*Hello there Calamansi... :D*
Until next time! :) Enjoy and God bless! :)
