The Chicken Rice Shop, Nihonbashitei and Chilis [PBA Semis - 7.11-7.13.2012]

Hello There! :)

Having my brother-in-law work for a team (currently Meralco Bolts) in PBA has its perks... :) One of which is being able to watch games for free...of course, its always an advantage when your elder sister is really loving and generous (AND RICH) because you don't have to worry that much about how much you'll be spending for dinner... :) But hey, I'm already working so I also give my fair share of "libres". Hehe! #nocomputationsneeded

Anyway, we really enjoy watching basketball games not only because its free or because we enjoy it, but its more on the "bonding" or "together-time" we have and spend with each other. [My elder sister lives in her home with her own family so we don't really get to see her everyday unlike we used to, so these opportunities really mean a lot... :)

I going to share with you some of the "eating-moments" we share before and after watching PBA games this month of July 2012... <3

YABU in TOWN @ Yabu: The House of Katsu

Hello there! :)

"The word katsu is an abbreviation of the word "Katsuretsu", which means "cutlet". It generally refers to a sliced piece of meat that is breaded and deep-fried. The dish was introduced to Japanese culture in the late 19th century during the Meiji period when Japan opened its doors to Western culture. in the beginning, beef cutlets were used, but pork eventually became the more popular choice of meat by the 1900s, eventually giving rise to dishes such as tonkatsu ("ton" is Japanese for "pork").          Reference: http://www.yabuhouseofkatsu.com/

I like exploring to know where to get GREAT food. My favorite Japanese restaurant is Nihonbashitei @ Makati. I've tried a bunch of other Japanese restaurants already, and believe me when I say that even though Jap Cuisine is on top of my list, "a" japanese restaurant almost flushed that cuisine down the drain (exaggeration. :D jap cuisine is too precious to be ruined by an experience in a restaurant). Kidding aside, "that" experience really sank to the bottom of my list.

Going back to Yabu, I really like the place (the ambiance is so soothing), service (super friendly and all-smiling people), and food (QUALITY QUALITY QUALITY!!! <3); a bit expensive but with the quality of the food you're getting, IT'S WORTH EVERY PESO!!!

Ordered fish fillet and pork tonkatsu.

First, the self-making sauce is quite an ice breaker... :) Really interactive... :) #goodjob

Next, the best unlimited rice in Megamall... #supersoftRAP-SA

Next, their miso soup... #itssofine

Next, their unlimited cabbage (great with their unli sesame sauce)... #itssuperfresh #sesamedressingTHEBEST

Next, Yabu's version of Pork Tonkatsu... #TENDERandCRISP

Last, but not the least, Yabu's melts-in-your-mouth Fish Fillet! <3 <3 <3 #THEBESTamongTHEREST

I'll be back... :D

Until next time! :) Enjoy and God bless! :)

Kim n' Chi @ Glorietta 4 Food Court...

Hello There! :)

Second to Japanese Cuisine, Korean food is what I love to eat... :) My favorite dish is Bibimbap... :) #ohhsoooooooyummy

Bibimbap literally means "mixed meal" or "mixed rice". It is a dish served in either an ordinary bowl or a stone pot -- dolsot. It consists of steamed rice, namul (sauteed vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste). It is optionally served with beef and/or egg.

Unfortunately, it was unavailable when we ate at Kim N' Chi so instead, I ordered Seafood Ramyon and an order of side dish (Gaeran Mari and Korean Skewers). Going back, my sister ordered chicken barbeque set [Sorry, no pic. We were really hungry that time... :D]

 *Side Dish*

*Seafood Ramyon*

But of course, I had to return... :D

*Bulgogi Omurice*

"I'll be back... :D"

Until next time! :) Enjoy and God bless! :)
