YABU in TOWN @ Yabu: The House of Katsu

Hello there! :)

"The word katsu is an abbreviation of the word "Katsuretsu", which means "cutlet". It generally refers to a sliced piece of meat that is breaded and deep-fried. The dish was introduced to Japanese culture in the late 19th century during the Meiji period when Japan opened its doors to Western culture. in the beginning, beef cutlets were used, but pork eventually became the more popular choice of meat by the 1900s, eventually giving rise to dishes such as tonkatsu ("ton" is Japanese for "pork").          Reference: http://www.yabuhouseofkatsu.com/

I like exploring to know where to get GREAT food. My favorite Japanese restaurant is Nihonbashitei @ Makati. I've tried a bunch of other Japanese restaurants already, and believe me when I say that even though Jap Cuisine is on top of my list, "a" japanese restaurant almost flushed that cuisine down the drain (exaggeration. :D jap cuisine is too precious to be ruined by an experience in a restaurant). Kidding aside, "that" experience really sank to the bottom of my list.

Going back to Yabu, I really like the place (the ambiance is so soothing), service (super friendly and all-smiling people), and food (QUALITY QUALITY QUALITY!!! <3); a bit expensive but with the quality of the food you're getting, IT'S WORTH EVERY PESO!!!

Ordered fish fillet and pork tonkatsu.

First, the self-making sauce is quite an ice breaker... :) Really interactive... :) #goodjob

Next, the best unlimited rice in Megamall... #supersoftRAP-SA

Next, their miso soup... #itssofine

Next, their unlimited cabbage (great with their unli sesame sauce)... #itssuperfresh #sesamedressingTHEBEST

Next, Yabu's version of Pork Tonkatsu... #TENDERandCRISP

Last, but not the least, Yabu's melts-in-your-mouth Fish Fillet! <3 <3 <3 #THEBESTamongTHEREST

I'll be back... :D

Until next time! :) Enjoy and God bless! :)
